Juliet Kinsman

Juliet Kinsman has spent more than two decades celebrating the world’s most special places to stay. Founding editor of Mr & Mrs Smith, meeting philanthropic hoteliers and working with award-winning luxury brands inspired her to create her Bouteco platform specifically to share enlightening stories of sustainability since 2016. Resident travel expert on BBC Radio London since 2014, a contributor to Sky News and a regular guest on podcasts and TV programmes, she’s now a leading world expert on sustainability.

As first-ever sustainability editor of Condé Nast Traveller, her hotel expertise appears in The Telegraph to The Times and her book, The Green Edit: Travel (Easy Tips for the Eco-Traveller) was published by Ebury. As a hotel consultant, she helps brands stand for something, and as a broadcaster, a keynote speaker or panelist at industry and consumer events, she inspires listeners to take a new perspective on positive impact.

A renowned expert in what makes the hospitality industry tick and unrivalled in her knowledge of eco-luxury travel, Juliet has explored the world, staying in stylish hotels from Sydney to South Africa, having presented a show produced by Outline about hotels for the Discovery Channel (2006) and writing many guides to travel. London is home, but she has enjoyed spells living in Bali, New York, Athens, India; you could say she’s slept around.
